I have had a bike frame delivered to the office.

I am pretty impatient and want to get it home asap, but have my bike in today.

Would anyone advise on transporting it over my shoulder on the way home, or is this a stupid idea??

I've done this and used rope to secure it over my shoulder like a courier bag. Thread the rope through the headtube and round to one of the rear dropouts but leave enough slack to get it over your shoulder. Just be aware of the extra width and length, usually below. The last time I rode with a frame over my shoulder I clipped a mirror
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

gee wizz 20 years ago i would ride to a race with a track frame strapped to my back and a pair of spare wheels mounted on brackets to the front quick release, you can ride a bike can,t you ??? why get a taxi...........
  • I am looking forward to doing this very same thing some time next week with my new MTB frame. Six miles for me on the BSO, I reckon no problem, no rush and it'll only be what - 3 or 4 kg tops? Go for it!
