Anyone confirm the correct chain type for a SS conversion useing a 32 ring raceface crankset (origanal 9s) and 16t rear sprocket mounted to a full sus using simple rear chain tensioner.

Been told I need a 3.32 chain could do with confirmation as these seem to twice the price of a 1/8 chain. Maybe its a strenght thing.

Finally do hope pro 2s ask for a specific SS coverter on their hubs? Anyone know
Alloy freehub body

Thanks :)

when I had a SS MTB I had a 1/8" chainring & 3/32 sprocket and ran a 3/32" chain with no issues. The only time I lost the chain was when I ran the bike too early and used a casette sprocket instead of the proper SS sprocket. With alloy bodied freehubs you need a 7mm sprocket, anything less and you'll cut into the freehub body.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

you can use any. as long as it fits the rear cog.

by 7mm redvee is referring to the foot of the cogs width. or a steel body from Hope.
