So how come this bike, that normally sells for £599, can be picked up for only £199:

http://www.made.com/collection/neo-coll ... range-rims

Could it be because it has the unusually sized 23" rims?

Is it maybe because the drivetrain is on the wrong side?

And what's the 3 mode gearing all about; single gear, freewheel or fixed?

None of that really matters though, as it comes fitted with 'Extra Grip' tyres. Why don't Continental make anything like that?

What're the chances that high street price is a made up price that won't be found anywhere on the High Street as the bike won't be available anywhere on the High Street.

I know, I know. I just fancied mocking the store. I'm a little bit 'anti' when it comes to non-specialist bike shops trying to sell bikes.

It's a parts bin. Those wheels are out of the back door from the company (presumably in Taiwan) making them for the Trek District. The brakes look like Bontrager items too.

  • Looks exactly like a Marin Inverness. I suppose it would be good for short trips around town, although as a previous poster mentioned it is a bit of a posers bike. One for the fashionistas maybe.
