Squeaky bum time for the UCI?

It would be nothing short of a disaster if CAS ruled in Franco's favour.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

Franco De Bonis went in last week but there's been no ruling yet, so maybe Pellezotti's case is going to take more time?

He's requested a fast resolution which means within 5 days- Next Tuesday they're saying.

It's not just a UCI problem - the concept is dead in the water for all sports if CAS rule against it. Seems like the UCI are bringing all the big guns to the hearing including Ashenden

BTW Franco's not Glenn Close anymore either. I don't know if this means he's less stylish and therefore more guilty. If only there were someone who could advise us....

Phonak mark 2 suggest incorporating power output into the passport:

Not a new idea, rather one that has been batted around various cycling forum.

    Pwnage.

Only in cycling do many fans cheer doping bans for 2 years.

Does Franco loes his KOM title? Or because he's 'never failed failed a test' does he just cop the ban?

53x12.com should be interesting reading. I hope Franco gets a refund for his training plans.

Maybe because it feels like someone prepared to cheat has been punished, and you can cheer a cleaner future?

Right lets give all the passports to CAS, they can have a look at them and declare the winners and losers.
    Getting a bit farcical now.
We have had Di Luca booted from the Giro RU spot and replaced by Pellizotti, who, in turn is booted from the RU spot.
I now have no idea who finished on the podium, so I'll have to check.
All this while Mr Human Plasma looks down from on high, wondering when his number will come up.
We need to know someone on the podium was cleanish, at least.

In what position did Lance finish again?

It wasn't a criticism. I'm cheering too. It's just a bizarre state of affairs.

Actually, my post was merely expressing surprise at the annullment of results from a year previously. I guess the anomalies in the passport were there over that period...

The cancelling of results is a bit of a funny one. One might reasonably expect that if Bertie cops a ban from CAS all intermediate results will be null. However, Valverde kept some (esp. the Vuelta win) after the italian ban came into force but before finally banned at CAS.

If Contador were to get a ban then any results since the day of his positive test last July should be removed.

Agreed. I wonder if they'll consider August thru Feb "time served"

Anyway, Franco is not happy, wants nothing to do with cycling. So I guess that means we'll see you next June, eh, dolphin!
