Just back from a hurl around Carron Valley and the conditions are just about perfect.
The trails have held up well after the winter . They're just holding enough moisture to stop the surface drying out and becoming loose and there's virtualy no mud. Makes for nice fast riding.

Thanks for the update. I was thinking of heading over there this weekend and you've just made the decision for me! :)

Was up at the weekend and the trail is still in good condition, the new staircase section is good addition and has spiced up the section that I always thought was pretty poor.
The website said the carpark is closed for resurfacing but it was still open on sat morning.

Was up at Carron Valley yesterday morning. After all the rain on Thursday and overnight there was a fair amount of standing water. My feet were soaked early on.

    Conditions still good tho.

I was the only person about. It was nice and quiet. At one point I had a pheasant flying along the trail in front of me !

Was I missing something when I was there(last time was summer 09) and I found it a bit boring. Has there been changes? Or was I on the wrong part of the trails?
