    Watching that breakaway yesterday how do all 5 from different teams get the food and drinks from their respective teams given they are out there for 4-5 hours. Are the team cars not at the back of the main pelaton?

    I think they have 2 team cars, 1 of which can move infront of the peloton if a rider gets in a break. If you have time you could probably look up the rules on the UCI website.

    Pretty much. If a break gets a certain amount of time, usually over a minute, the peloton lets the team cars, neutral service cars etc through.

    S'why when they then dissapear from behind the break you know the peloton is bearing down on them.

    2.6.033 Only one vehicle per team will be permitted to circulate at race level.
    However, in races of the world calendar and of the classes 2.HC, and 2.1 of the continental circuits calendar, a second car per team is allowed, except in circuit races and on final circuits. In any cases, the article 2.2.035 does apply.
    Also worth mentioning feed zones where the soigneur distribute musettes filled with food and bottles.
