Off Road Duathlon Events

Not sure if this is the best place to post this so apologies if it's not and the Mods want to move it :?
I recently did the Uberfit Fearless Duathlon at Llandegla and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm not that keen on road cycling and likewise I don't enjoy road running either, but off road getting wet and dirty was good fun
Does anybody know if there are any similar events around the UK (preferably near the Midlands) during 2011? I'd like to give a few of these type of events a go if they are organised during the year.
Thanks for any advice.

OK not near the midlands but I did the First moster Ironman last year - its serious mountain running 30 miles, mountain biiking for 10 then 30 miles on the roadie - if you are up for a serious challenge its an amazing event or you can enter as a team of 4 and make sure you do the first cycling leg which is off road on the Great Glen Way

What the mtb bit like on the Great Glen Way? As I am doing Maggies bike & hike up there next month & won't to know from a rider whats it like! (as its the bit of the challenge I am not really training for)!0 -
Hey its very up and down, virtually no singletrack all on jeep tracks/fire road but with one really steep singletrack bit just before Fort Augustus - I reccomend a very light hardtail, I have a profile of it on my garmin - its the first 10 or so miles on this map

also a off road race I did last year called the drovers tryst in perth which you may like

Not in the midlands, but closer than Llandegla:

It's a nice event.
I think I might give that a go. I'm racing (motorcycle) at Oulton Park the day before, but I'm sure I can convince Mrs P to let me play at this too as it's close by and her folks live n the area tooIbis Mojo HDR (2014)

The wife has let me out for Bolesworth, so assuming I don't crash at Oulton the day before and spanner myself, then I'll be up for it on the 10th.
Is anybody else on here doing it as well?Ibis Mojo HDR (2014)
