A decent race although not the best amoung the small stage races for me. Plenty of great and exciting riders.

    I see Mosquera is confirmed.

Day of the neo-pros - Jesse Sergent winning the West-Vlaanderen Driedaagse Prologue.

Very impressive first two months for Matthews. Also great to see Russ Downing up there

Worth noting that this is the stage Matthew won:

    http://www.regmurcia.com/servlet/integr ... es_720.jpg

It's only a 3rd cat climb at the end there, but even so... far from a pure sprinter's finish.

It was a hard day because was rainnig the hole stage, and in the last km a big crash happen.

Contador getting the results in case he gets a bit of time off in the future; Valverde style.
Must admit that Riis's record is pretty good (as far as I can remember) on getting results without any Positive dope tests.

Sastre was looking to see how his form was and at 14.29 down yesterday lets hope he was doing massive turns on the front for Menchov otherwise that was an afternoon he would have been better off in the Pub.

Champion, you all know it. You'll just have to face it. Shame you can't get any enjoyment now.

5 men break clear from a GEOX burn-up followed by a solo attack from Contador 1km from the summit, but due to the hairpins he had to pull back, then attacked again 500m from the top, followed by a solo 8km run in to the line. He took risks on the decent, nearly coming off on a left-hander.

Oh, go an see how mr Schleckette is fairing this season. Total lightweight.

CVV, Dan Martin, Igor Anton, Sastre all well well down.

Both Menchov and Coppel are great TT riders so is going to be real tough for Contador to hold on for GC.

Soler attacked on the climb. Shame he had to crash - has very little luck.

Plaza broke his leg which is pretty awful.
