Im thinking of swapping my bottom bracket, (which as a truvativ square taper) over to an outboard, probably a shimano deore, but this means i will have to swap the cranks as well, which is fine, i kinda want them gone anyway. So, would i be able to run a race face ride, shimano deore or a truvativ husselfelt with this shimano BB?
Am i strange in that i actually ENJOY going up hills? Yes, yes i am.

You somehow missed one of the most important parts of his post. That he wants to change his BB to a Shimano Deore.0 -
IIRC most (all?) Raceface cranksets come with external BB included - the ones I had delivered today certainly did - so two birds/one stone.

shimano's hollowtech cranks come with a BB too. Raceface BBs aren't that great tbf.0

All MTB External crank sets come with BBs (or should) Truvativ and all GXP type cranks will not work with shimano BBs. (as mentioned above)."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
