Hi
has anyone run schwalbe kojak tyres without a tube on mavic ust rims using stan's sealant?
I thought i'd ask before i waste time, sealant and make an unnecessary mess.
I'm joining the daily commute on my hard tail and want a light as possible solution.
Cheers.

  • I have recently purchased a pair of Kojak 700x35mm foldable tires. I can make the tire inflate using Stan's Sealent, but I have been getting consistent micro leaks on the sidewalls... Each tire will completely deflate every couple of days due to new small holes appearing and being filled. This has been occurring consistently for about two weeks on both tires. At this point, I am moving back to tubes for these tires.

Schwalbe sidewalls can leak, the wheel needs laying on it's side to allow the sealant to seal the small holes, one side at a time.
