Shoes are very individual item as all feet a far from being the same.Smeone may recommend their shoes as being all "that".But to you or me the fit may be uncomfortable and awkward.Right shoe fitment is one of the most important elements of being one with your bicycle.Having shoes that fit you correctly will help produce consistent pain free wattage time and time again. The last thing i would ask on the internet is what shoes should i get etc etc.
Find some you like the look of and go and try them on in a shop if they fit nice, haggle with them to price match the net.
I hope this doesn`t come accross a being arsy as i`m just trying to save you cash in the long run

I was looking at shoes in my LBS the other week and was advised that the new range of Northwave shoes aren't as wide as their previous models.

Don't know if the Avenair are different but I've heard that Mavic are relatively narrow as a rule so my initial thoughts were Northewave and Lake as well, Specialized are OK for me (Shimano too narrow around the toes).

    What are your current shoes?

Sidi's are narrow and I was told the Mega's just bring them back to "normal". This advice by one of the larger South West London shops put me off. I have wide size 48's and went for Specialized S-works and they are wide, light and very comfortable.
