This sunny weather is cracking for cycling in. Loving it!
Bad, bad 2010 for me cycling, can count on both hands how many times I got out.
New start though, felt good, averaging 13 mph - just taking it easy. Pushing hills, getting the hammer down on the flats through Whitley Bay and Tynemouth (23mph through Whitley - not bad for an out of condition bloke!!).
Back home now, eating home made Chicken Bombay Curry with boiled rice - apologies to any cyclists I may pass tomorrow - WIND ASSISTED!!!

Great stuff - welcome back to the bike. I had 2 disrupted years cycling - new born baby boy, appendicitis leading to perotinitis which wiped me out for ages, then just as I got back onto the bike I developed a fist sized hernia which was fixed and then subsequently broke again. Fingers crossed it is back to normal now and have managed 6 months back on the bike disrupted only by the December weather.
Keep getting out regularly and reminding yourself how much you miss it when you are not out there, get yourselves a short, mid term and long term goal and just get out there and enjoy it0 -
Like wise, just started getting back out after basically taking 6 months off after riding Lands End to John O'Groats last year. Brilliant day today and looking forward to getting out tomorrow and hopefully taking advantage of more sunny weather.Boardman Team 09 HT
