It's not spectacular, is it?
It's a weird place. There's the really rough seafront, all run down and crap, then at the far east end, there's some rather lush housing estates. Very peculiar.

rhyl is just a crap town full stop. I had many daytrips there as a kid. the fair was about the only decent thing and that went a few years ago
