Hi All,
After a very successful track session at Newport Velodrome last Sunday, supported by several cycling clubs in the South West, we’ve decided to set up a Facebook Group. It would be great if you could add your name here if you are interested in track sessions or please feel free to post details of any track session that you are opening up to all clubs/riders.

Often people back out of a tack session at the last minute and we hope that this group will give the chance to let riders know quickly.

It will also provide an excellent opportunity to show how much demand there is for a Velodrome in the South West! Please encourage riders to join

Thanks

    Hi Simon,

Glad you had a good time at Newport, thanks for joining the group. It should provide a really good way for riders to pick up on any spare places going on club track sessions.

See you on the boards :D

If you get accreditation from Newport does it cover you for Manchester, I know there was grief about this some time ago.

    I believe so.

I have heard from a reputable source that SQT at Newport is tougher than the same session at Manc!

I'll join! I must have seen you there Alistair, I have been doing the sunday session for sme time, its a good one.
  • Once you have Newport accreditation you can ask Manchester for probationary accreditation. Once you have this piece of paper, you can attend four SQT and drop in sessions - no Derny, no sprint, no keirin, no league. At all four you need to tell the coach you are a probationer and get your slip signed at the end of that session to say you have been good. Four signed slips gets you accreditation.
