As per the title. Im new to Birmingham and want to build my climbing ability ready for rides in scotland.
I have a friend near derby but was struggling to find info on the net.

+1 for Clent. And if you are feeling keen go home via Halesowen and go up Mucklow hill too.

Sorry my last reply was brief - it was the back end of a night shift. Clent is great and you can loop around the hills for hours. If your up for an 80ish mile ride, get out to Bewdley and then Shropshire and do Clee Hill.

South of Birmingham is not that hilly however when you leave Birmingham towards Redditch it all drops quite a bit (Weatheroak Hill!!!) and as you know what goes down must come up!!

Marchington woodlands near sudbury, and then head up to ashbourne, hartington, take plenty of food with you, there are tough hills everywhere you look
