Hey guys
I am about to buy my first proper road bike that i intend to cycle lot - no competiton just fun evening and weekend rides.
I am looking at getting a carbon Cube Agree GTC pro which has some real good reviews and very good spec for the price.
However i am worried about damaging the carbon frame (as its seems most beginners are) and i will need to leave it in a communal bike shed.
So im thinking about chaning my mind and finding a decent ali bike - am looking at Giant TCR 1 or TCR 0 2011 models, but i cant find any reviews on these.
Obviously i will try them, but am wanting some opinions for you experts
Cheers

Search youtube for clips showing how easy it is to damage a carbon frame as opposed to ali, you'll be surprised!
Not sure I’d want to lock any decent bike in a communal bike shed thing though.....0 -
The sort of damage that will wreck a carbon bike will still trash an aluminium frame. Buy a bike according to your needs, size and budget don't get drawn into the 'which material is best' argument.Norfolk, who nicked all the hills?

Sound advice in the previous post.
I would have reservations about leaving a half decent bike in what you refer to as a communal bike shed.0 -
If your not going carbon - the cannondale Cadd range seems to be very popular - supposed to give a fast but harsh ride (dunno if thats what your after)
those ebay carbon frames are good VFM - and folks seem to build them up into great bikes0
