i was gettign a creeky noise form under my saddle, i tried tighening everything, but that didnt resolve it so i ended up removing the saddle an cleaning the clamps
this fixed my creekyness but i have the feeling the saddle is now in a different position, what at the guidlines on what position the seat shoudl be? how far forward etc?
thanks all

Dead level.
Seatpost approx in middle of saddle.0 -
For most people the saddle needs to be horzontal AND...when your pedal is at the 3 o'clock position, your knee cap should be directly over the pedal axle.0

Can I say that as far as I am aware ther is no "correct" placement for a saddle, surely when it is most comfortable for you then it is right :!:Peds with ipods, natures little speed humps

Depends. Comfortable whilst stationary (for positioning) is different to comfortable over 6 miles which is different to comfortable over 60 miles. Either way, I'd echo Moodyman's post.FCN 2 to 80 -
Sorry but that would be agreed if we were all the same height shape etc, my saddle and almost none of the people I ride with is like that, mine is a little to the left and right forward leaning slightly down, and there is nothing wrong with me, this is how I feel comfortable at any distance.Peds with ipods, natures little speed humps
