10mm rear QR dropouts?

Hi, looking at buying some new wheels, I now my fork accepts a 9mm qr skewer but was wondering whether a standard rear dropout would take the 10mm rear qr skewer. A simple tape measure told me it should but i'd rather make sure before i splash out!!
