SEVERE knuckle pain.

Hi. I have a problem with knuckle pain.

It tends to be after long rattling descents on my hardtail, which would make sense, the joints shaking etc. My hardtail is 100mm travel with carbon bars and ergo sponge grips.

This discomfort is so severe that I cant imagine it would be any more painful if the knuckles were actually broken.

Doing the same descents on my 140mm full sus gives no pain at all. So what suggestions are there to help with this? Strengthening my hands with exercises? Specific stretches? Changes to the bike?

Thanks.

This sounds like it's caused by:
dodgy brake lever setup, or bar shape.
Too much high speed compression damping on the fork,
    or death grip.
