hey guys, just bought a GT Zaskar Frame and i'm looking to build it up, does anyone know where i'd find out what size BB it takes?

If you are using an external BB, they are all the same, if you are using square taper or whatever, it depends on the cranks.
What year is the frame?And now you know, and knowing is half the battle

my 2007 Zaskar Expert has got Deore LX hollowtech cranks/BB0

That is a Hollowtech, so the BB comes with spacers, not sure where they would go though, I got a shop to put mine on when I upgraded.And now you know, and knowing is half the battle

thanks for the help guys.....so i've priced two groupsets (ex brakes n hubs) and im wondering is it worth the extra £/€ for SLX over DEORE?
i can get DEORE for £165 on Ebay/ Merlin and SLX for £250 on Ebay0 -
The SLX is lighter, better built and better bearings.
You could try a mix and match approach if the budget fits ie:
SLX chainset £80
XT shifters £60
SLX or Deore derailers £60
XT cassette £50
Chain £10
ish. The XT shifters and cassette are a nice upgrade. Derailers make little difference.0 -
where do u see an SLX chainset for 80?
i have actually been looking at XT shifters......i have a set of Deore from 2002 that i can use temporarily before getting XT0 -
