Anyone doing the dartmoor classic this year?
I am down for the 106 mile route.
Anyone done it before? Any hints and tips

Yes I have done the ride the last 2 years.
It is hard with lots of tough climbs but a really good fast last 1 miles down to the finish. Last year was very hot and they laid on more drink stations - I found that due to the heat I spent more time at the feed stations and as a consequence missed out on a bronze medal time but not to worry
I did some training rides up on the moor as well and they were invaluable as the hills (and cattle grids) are very different to the rolling hills where I live.
cheers

Doing 106 mile route. First time for me. Doing Cornwall Tor 73 miles as a warm up
Trying to get my training done along the north coast and around Roseland Peninsula to get used to the ups & downs.0
