... to change a bike from geared to single-speed? Have a mountain bike I need to change to single speed (freewheel, not fixed). Would it be a case of buying a suitably sized rear wheel with a single gear, swapping it out and adjusting the chain? I'd like to keep the front mech as is as I would need to change back at some stage. Any help, advice, sarcasm for my stupidity etc is welcome.
