    I think it's:

    Super Record
    Record
    Chorus
    Athena
    Centaur
    Veloce

With Super Record being the most expensive. An electronic group has been developed, similiar to Shimano Di2, but my understanding is that it's not yet on general sale.

Cheers,i take it that mirage and xenon are below veloce aswell, mirage being the bottom of the stack?
  • Used to be a groupset called Daytona. Not a Campag afficianado, but think it was around Centaur/Athena level. Not sure when or why they got rid of it. Someone else will know more.

I think Mirage should be sitting below Veloce and Xenon below Mirage.

Perhaps not as standalone groupsets but they are still specc'd on complete bikes.

Plus the OP's question was over the last 5 years.

FWIW Daytona was renamed Centaur a few years ago because of a trademark infringement. The first 4 are 11 speed whereas Centaur and Veloce and 10. The only difference between SR, Record and Chorus are down to details like ceramic bearings, titanium fasteners and hard anodised coating on the chainrings.

It was a copyright issue with the name.

The lineup and the relative specs of groups below Chorus have differed from year to year, so you have to know when they were made to compare them. The current Athena is a recent introduction (Centaur used to sit below Chorus), though the name has been used previously. Xenon and Mirage are no longer listed in the catalogue, though I've seen them on current bikes (possibly 'new old' stock). So:

    Super Record
    Record
    Chorus
    (Athena)
    Centaur/Daytona
    Veloce
    [Mirage]
    [Xenon]

Some groups have had different numbers of cogs in different years (or even optionally in the same year).

To see what the lineup in a given year was, check out:

  • And the Centaur name is not a new one. Campag had a Centaur Off-Road groupset when they made ATB kit.

It's worth stating too that Campag's Veloce starts between Shimano's Dura Ace and Di2. 8)

I thought Xenon was equivalent to Dura-ace 7900
  • And SRAM is somewhere below Xenon.
