I'm looking to get some quicker tyres, the roads locally are not too bad so i'm not looking for "armour lite", i'm running clinchers (fulcrum5s) and want less rolling resistance

I've searched the forum and i'm sure there's a thread but i can't find it!

Thank you in advance 8)

  • Yeah, there's a tyre thread or 2000 round here somewhere [search]

I think the search may be down after the recent outage.

I'd be voting for Conti GP 4 Seasons or GP4000S in any case.

  • Schwalbe Ultremo's.......wouldn't advise Michelin Pro3's as I found these to cut easily and got through 3 in quick succession.
Summer - Dolan Tuono with Sram Force and Dura-Ace 7850 CL Carbon wheels
Winter - old faithful Ribble winter bike

I'm with Schwalbe ultremo's. Try the new ZX's

Micheline Prorace 3's for pure speed, Conti GP4000s if you want quick with added puncture resistance

Sorry for the hijack but to save another tyre thread :).... I've recently moved to 25mm
Conti Gatorskins which I'm happy with.
Unless there is noticeable wear on the tyres, is it really worth swapping to GP4000s for the good weather/trip to the Pyrenees?
Would I notice any difference at all?
I'm just a club rider, getting out when shifts allow.

    Thanks
