The Father of SCR

I notice ChrisLS hasn't posted since June 2010. Where is he now? And is he aware that he is responsible for one of the longest running threads on this forum?
Has he been given the recognition he deserves? Shouldn't there be some sort of accolade for coining the phrase 'Silly Commuting Racing'? Perhaps the 30th June (the very first SCR post) should be deemed a national holiday in celebration of the great man?!

He disappeared for a while to crew for a friend who was attempting RAAM.
Not sure were he went after that.
New posters arrive, stay for a year and then disappear. Keeps the forum fresh for the saddos who stay.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -

...sorry to re open this old thread...I wasn't searching for my own name(honest), I was searching for RAAM and so stumbled upon this. Thanks for the interest...I did crew on RAAM, which was the greatest experience of my life. Helping a solo rider race 300 miles a day was something to witness.
Anyway I am not a butterfly...hang on I just got the joke very clever...
It's good to be back and I would like to put my face in at the Morpeth Arms sometime...

How long did the RAAM take?FCN 2-4.

I was in the US for just under a month. Our rider completed the race in just under 11 days. I tell you what it is a truly awesome event. I don't mind admitting, as I took a shift in the follow car, when he was ascending through the Rockies there were tears in my eyes. I have got a lot of stories and you wouldn't want to be on a long ride with me because once I start...
Mainly I have been away as my job changed and I have been watched and Mimeswept the whole time. I have changed departments now and can catch up again on the forum......all the way...'til the wheels fall off and burn...0
