Road Bike set-up guide

I came across a link someone posted a while back with a good set-up guide including cleat set up. I have used the search function with no avail. Has anyone got any links bookmarked for good set-up guides? Hopefully i'll come across the original one i had seen. After 6 months on the bike i feel a few minor adjustments need to be made as my knees are hurting a little, everything i have tried doesnt seem to help so may start from scratch untill i can afford a proper bike fit.
