Is a spacer behind the cassette needed?
I noticed that on my old wheels which are shimano R500's there was a little spacer that sat behind my cassette.
I'm wondering if this is needed on my new set of wheels which have Easton EA70 hubs on it? As I just naturally just put the spacer on after changing wheels but the gear indexing is off a little could it be due to that? And would it be fine with no spacer?
I'm running a 10 speed ultegra cassette
Any help appreciated

Yes, it is needed. If you don't use it your cassette will be loose.
It's no surprise that your indexing is slightly out with a different wheel. Just tweak the cable adjuster and it will all work fine.0 -
Just the cable tension needs changing then ? As i guess the spacing between gears has remained the same doh!
Thanks for your help0
