Swapping from a triple to a double chainset?

I have a trek 7.5fx which currently has a triple 48/36/26 which I use for commuting, I prefer a double 50/36 could this be fitted to my exisitng trek? I presume I will need to change front derailleur, but will I need to change either cassette or rear derailleur as well?

Also what other hitches might I come accross? Bottom Bracket?

    Nope, chainset and probably bottom bracket as a minimum.

    I'm running Tiagra triple gear with a 50-36 FSA crank.
