Been looking on Craigslist.co.uk for a few weeks and some of the bikes for sale on there are amazing for the price - My question is.... Are they for real? Anyone had any experience with dealers on Craigslist....

Too general a question. What bikes, from what sellers? You can find some amazing deals there but there are not many safeguards provided by CL and being a free service you can't expect much. Best thing is to educate yourself on what you're buying. Otherwise it's purely a gamble. Stolen, damaged, fakes, re-labled frames, all of these can show up on CL as well as the genuine deal of the century.0

Been checking this out offer the past few weeks. Replied to three ads and found that they were all apparently in the Shetland isles. They were happy to post me the bike, & could try it if I could get there. Couple of issues then:
1: the Shetland aisles are about as difficult an area to get to as anywhere in the .
2: with a three figure population, what's the chances of more than 5% of the inhabitants having bikes worth over five grand, let alone selling them.
Bottom line, if it sounds too good to be true, then it generally is. Most of the mid to low end stuff seems genuine enough though. :?0 -

The Giant has the wrong wheels, the SL limited came with Zipps as standard.
