Hi, I'm new to clipless pedals. I've got entry level KEO cleats but find I'm getting a lot of lateral movement when I click in. Can some one tell me if it's normal to have a lot of movement?

    Absolutely normal.

It's kinder on you knees, that don't always move totally straight...

You can change the cleats to reduce the lateral movement.

    If a recall correctly:

RED coloured cleats - 9 degrees of float (LOTS)
GREY coloured cleats - 4.5 degrees of float (SOME)
BLACK coloured cleats - 0 float (NONE)

I'd give it a while as as Rick says it's much kinder to your knees to ride with float, but if you don't like it - change your cleats.
  • If your pedals are KEO easy, there is no tension adjustment. The easys came with the last bike, but i swapped them for classics to be able to increase the tension.
