I am looking at replacing the Juicy 3's on my P7 as they need some work - new pads and a full bleed front and rear are the main duties - and I don't want to spend the money on them because I have never really liked them.
I am currently looking at 3 or 4 options and want to know which are the better:
Hope Tech X2's ( tempted to go with floating rotors )
Avid Elixir CR Mag ( 2010 model )
Formula RX
All would cost around £250 - £300 for front and rear with rotors and adaptors.
I have also seen Formula Oro K24 Brakesets going for £160 but these will be older models as the RX replaced the Oro last year?
I mainly ride aggresive XC, black grade at trail centres on the P7. Hubs are Hope Pro 2 and Fox 32's on the front. Looking at ~180 rotor up front and either 160/180 out back.
What brakes should I go for?
