Rob roy challenge.

Anybody done this charity event in the past and if so will my hybrid on marathon pluses manage or would different tyres suit?

Not done it but some of these charity rides annoy me a bit with the nominated charities and minimum fundraising amount. The Rob Roy states that you must raise £400 minimum sponsorship, so their nominated charity doesn't want me to raise money for them if I can only raise £300??

I've done it, in 2007.
The cycling stage is mostly asphalt but with a long stretch on a disused railtrack so fairly hard packed gravel. I'd say Marathon pluses on a hybrid would be fine.
I know someone who's done it on a Boardman hybrid with the standard 28mm Maxxis Detonators, so you should be fine.
