It looks like it might be.

Before it goes tits up again, I'm picking Tommy Voeckler for Het Volk PTP.

The 16,000,000th post wasn't the greatest I've ever read either

I probably didn't help by frantically clicking refresh every 3 seconds for 4 days straight. Sorry.

    Cooool.
Hardy26 broke the internet. And here was me blaming LA. My conspiracy theory was a good one, and featured a desperate Texan attempting to disable all cycling discussions. I expected the wild west of the cyclingnews forum to be next.

I deduce from the link that they had to find an extra fiver to pay the server, or something like that.
Couldn't they just have deleted the first couple of million posts?

I was thinking of you all, though. Especially Mrs Iain, who had to cope with her husband's withdrawals.

I have fruitfully spend the time in bed with flu, Pride and Prejudice and a cat.

Glad the forum is back. I've got way too many rants built up in my head. Gotta get them out.
Go Libya and the rest of you who are stuck with dictators and the like. I say put all of them in a deep dark hole to rot.

I agree that they're bad, but have you ever heard the phrase "better the devil you know"?

I would prefer they delete the last few million posts (everything after Armstrongs comback was announced could be convenient)

I think I need professional help, I was getting seriously agitated at the forum being down, not to mention boring work colleagues that seem to think it's of no importance whatsoever that a cycling forum should be unavailable.

ofcourse it can go two ways, however the people in these countries seem to think its worth dying for so presumably they expect things to improve.

I can't predict the future. Ya never know. I really do feel sorry for the people of the world who have to live under all those repressive leaders, even though I somewhat believe the
statement by, who knows who, "people get the government they deserve".

How do you know it's a repressive regime? Have you ever had a beer with Col. G?

It appears the internet is 'full'
  • I frequented the cycling news forums in the downtime. You have no idea how *dirty* i feel....glad we're back to semi-normal ways again.

You're lucky you're not in a straight jacket, especially if you went into The Asylum* section.

It's been tough not being able to vent the building excitement for the beginning of the season I care most about....

The amount of times my colleages have heard "I'm so excited for Saturday!!!"

I think they think I'm crazy.

Though I think they think I think that they think i am crazy, which helps matters...

Actually, where am I, and what time is it?

I looked around for other forums to browse. They were all so lame. Can't believe how good we have it here. (Seriously).

Seems some boards only get one post a day, etc.

Having done the same, I agree. We're quite adult and sensible in our debates here. None of the fanaticism and parocialism (or LA obsession) that you see elsewhere

HAHAHAHAHAHHA. Seems the biggest gripe people have is about Pro Race.

Gee - I wonder why? (And half those complaints were from people that post here regularly. Go figure).

I still stand by my original assertion - warts and all - BR is a pretty good forum.

Some of the commets are a little surprising from my side - I find it reasonably straightforward to avoid the petty Armstrong / Contador / doping threads.

There's enough want to chat about racing for it not to be an issue for me.

People who think Pro race is extreme really need to get out a bit more.
