Hi Guy's

I have got a pretty light bike, Commencal Super 4 Carbon and the saddle is OK for most simple rides but I got a couple of endurance events coming this year and a fear that the saddle will destroy my ass and gentleman sausage bits.

The current saddle SDG USA Fly, not sure if its and cop?

Want something which is comfortable and light with the channel that releases pressure so that my gentleman sausage will work after a 75mile ride.

All advice is invaluable, thanks guys

  • I've got the WTB Rocket Race saddles fitted to all 3 of my bikes. I just get on with that saddle to be honest and I am no lightweight at just on 98Kgs
It's also the saddle Steve Peat uses too!
I've done many events with these saddles including a grueling 50KM (30+ mile) event without any long ride discomfort. No I don't have a fat @ss!

Was reading up on saddles earlier as trying to choose one.

Sounds like the WTB Pure V might be a god one for you to try.

Really liking the Fizik that came on my Anthem, very comfortable.
    XC: Giant Anthem X
    Fun: Yeti SB66
Road: Litespeed C1, Cannondale Supersix Evo, Cervelo R5
    Trainer: Bianchi via Nirone
Hack: GT hardtail with Schwalbe City Jets
  • +1 for fizik, the one on my Prophet is great.
  • Charge Spoon or Madison Flux. Same saddle, very comfy. Millions of bottoms can't be that wrong ;)

Mine replaced a WTB Rocket and it will be staying.

Always got on with Spesh Phenom SLs, did a 12 hour solo with no issues at all. Very personal though at the end of the day. You could take 100 recommendations and hate them all.
  • PRO condor carbon if you care about the weight :D
  • Fizik Gobi XM on my Lapierre is good, but I've been very impressed with my Specy GB Henge aswell.

Phenom is lighter, admittedly more expensive.
  • Tried the Charge spoon out today, superb saddle 10/10

I've tried expensive saddles and settled for Charge Spoons on all my bikes now and not looked back or walked too funny afterwards
