  • Apparently they will be visible far further South than normal, I wonder how far south.

  • Hmm , ephemerides, where's JeremyRundle when you need him?

    I've been enjoying Orion recently, and obviously Jupiter has been great for those dark, lonely rides home. But will keep an eye out for this, maybe even ride home with bike lights on 'dipped' :wink:

    Thick blanket of low fog here in Wiltshire, so just another normal night then.

    Watch for interesting electrical side effects - apparently last time there was a flare of this magnitude there were serious blackouts in Canada

    November was about the last time they were meant to be visible as far South as Northern England. Last year I failed to see them in Canada - this year I should be getting to Trondheim in October so I might venture North after work then to see what I can see.
    Faster than a tent.......
