so im changing chainset as mine is well on the way out.
at the moment i have a 172.5mm, but i have found a couple of bargains although they are both only available in 170mm or 175mm. Would this be ok? would i notice the difference?

It'll work. Difference will be marginal but will have the effect of slightly changing the pedalling effort as the leverage [leevur-rij, not levver-rej) will have changed a bit, that's all. As long as the fixing holes are in the right places obviously.0

A standard road crank length has always traditionally regarded as 170mm so should be OK unless you have excessively long lower legs.0

Make sure you check out Rose. They have (had?) some very cheap cranks recently.0

2.5mm either way will make no real discernable difference0

If your short(ish) go for 170mm.
If you are taller go for 175mm
Simple... must train harder0 -
