HELP insurance?

Hey all I'm in need of help, I recently bought a new bike and am struggling to find insurance cheaper than £25 a month. My hardtail is covered on the house insurance £18 for the year but because of the value is 2k they won't touch it £18 a year - £25 a month seems like a big rise to me.
What if your dreams and fears existed in the same place? What if to get to heaven, you had to brave hell? What if everything you've ever wanted cost you everything you've ever achieved? Would you still go there?

Fairly normal for a separate policy...its approx £50 per month for me if I insured it.
Your cover via house insurance is only for the house...if you go to local shops and the bike goes missing whilst you're inside....you are up a creek without a paddle.
Separate cover is for pretty much any location the bike is stored (and properly secured) and normally covers theft/accidental damage.
Now I'm not saying anyone would falsely claim for accidental damage whilst out riding in order to get some new bits, but I'd say its part of the reason it's expensive to insure on a individual bike policy.0 -
My bike(£2.5K) is covered home and away/anywhere for an extra £6 a month on the house insurance as a named item.
Marks&Spenser cover bikes up to £4.5k for free but not sure on their T&C's but a lot of people use them.0 -
£25 a months C&^p
CTC website
I have insured three bikes £1,600, £700, £600 total £210
This also offers NO minimum claim and you do NOT have to find the first £50 or £100Peds with ipods, natures little speed humps

Your wrong mate. I had a bike nicked while I was out & the only thing my house insurance were concerned about was if I'd locked it to an immovable object.
Separate insurance might also carry some public indemnity putting the price up a bit.
Have you tried calling your house insurance guys to see if they'd be willing to up the price of payout if the worst was to happen? Your premiums would most likely go up a bit.Statistically, Six Out Of Seven Dwarves Aren't Happy0
