Squeaky riding .... help with a diag!

HI,
I bought myself a Voodoo Bantu bike a few months back. While I can't fault the bike when its running Halfords really have been poor. The latest issue is the Bike is squeaking pretty bad every time I ride it. The odd thing is a hard dab of the breaks will clear it for around 30 seconds. I have taken it 3 times in to Halfords and each time they have not fixed the issue.
Now I know it hard to diagnose what the issue is but could you guys give me some ideas? Halfords have said I have badly warped rotor. This worried me as it was not squeaking when they had it on the rack and why was this not noticed the other times it was in. If its a new rotor then fine I'll get it sorted but as they quoted me £95 I'm worried about getting ripped off.
thanks

brakes often to rub a bit and squeak. it will go with use and pads bed in etc.
also maybe the hub bearings have bedded in and need a little adjust.
TBH i would go out and get muddy and i bet they will have sorted them self out after that."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

sounds to me like the pads need to bed in proper, cause mine did that a while back, but having just left them to their own devices has sovled it as the pads have aligned themselves properly within the calipers, as they are supposed to do
nothing halfords can really do to fix that except ride it for your for a few weeks in some mud to get it bedded in, and they cant really do that0
