After ordering the aforementioned steed from Evans and following a flurry of recent posts re continuing problems of supply

http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtop ... c&start=40

I've now started to think about alternatives, after finding out today that the delivery date has now been put back to April.
With payday impending, the following is now just within my budget, with a bit of "flexibility" (i.e. haggling) mentioned by Evans after dropping the bombshell.

Should i bite the bullet on this, or possibly consider a Caad8 (105) as a "like for like" replacement?

As ever, any views/opinions would be gratefully received.
*glugs some red to console the cannondale shaped hole that now exists*

Did you choose the Synapse because of comfort for long distance rides? Spesh Secteur probably the best alternative from the Evans stable. Rather have the Synapse myself though
  • haggle with evanes hard, i ordered a Bianci (£700) that was in stock turned out it was not. after they told me it was in the post! got a bike of twice the value all be it last years modle to clear it out for them ;) got a nice trek 2.3 !!!

I'd rather walk than ride a Specialized TBH.

I'd wait for the Synapse. But that's cos I like a bike that will take proper mudguards, which this years alloy Synapse will.
