Hi everyone! Relatively new to the forums and new to road cycling so thought i would say hello.
After reading through the forums i decided against buying a bike from the internet and went into my Local-ish bike shop for a look around.Already have a rockhopper so i was mainly looking for a specialized bike.Anyway have now ordered a specialized allez comp 2011 and should get it by the weekend. The wife just about had a fit when i told her!!!hehe
Spent a small fortune in associated gear and equipment and now cant wait for the bike to be ready so i can get out for a spin!

Hi James-d and welcome. Well done on your purchase and good on you for buying from your LBS. There are some great bikes to be had from the 'net, but there is nothing like the personal touch from a good LBS. And when we can I think we should all support them. You will have to learn some cunning tricks to get stuff past the wife in future! I usually tell mine that things were 50% cheaper than they actually were, or just smuggle them in and hope she notices nothing new! Enjoy the rides.0
