Hammersmith - RP Route?

What route do people tend to use when travelling from Hammersmith at rush hour? I always find that the main road through Castelneau and over Barnes Bridge is a nighmare as its clogged with traffic.

Recently I've been experimenting with this route, - http://bit.ly/fCT9z1 through Barnes itself. It's okay in that the long drag down Maderia Road is free from traffic, but the level crossing in Barnes can hold things up if you don't catch it right.

Any better/quicker options that people have tried?

Cheers guys I'll give those a go. I'm leaving from King St in Hammersmith, so heading down FPR is a bit out of the way, plus I'll have to negotiate the damn one way system! Still, a stopwatch should confirm it.
