Which front brake?

Hi Guys,
I am looking for a front brake for my GT Chucker 2.0
It has the actual disk/rotar and brake lever, but not the actual brake or cable.
I was wondering what brake I should go for? Ideally, I would like to spend as little as possible BUT have a good, quality brake.
It doesn't need to be amazing, just something which will do the job.
Please could I have links to as what I would need to buy?
Thanks and ATB
James

I'm confident it is just the original lever

there is a good chance that the original braking system was a mechanical one.
if this is so any MTB mechanical caliper will work.
but back to the OPS post "standard" means nothing, sorry, as you dont identify standard for what. the bikes specs change over the years.
for my info above i am going of a 2007 spec bike while 2009 and 2010 had Promax hydros....."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
