DownloadHelper isn't getting this one, it works for Youtube etc but not for this...

There's a wee article on the race from innerleithen yesterday, I'd like to show my mum but it's a one-day-only upload so I need to get it saved. Anyone?

    I use Orbit.

Just check the browser in the options you want to monitor, because only Firefox come as a default.

MAGIX\Movie Edit Pro16 has a screen record facility but only in the full version. You need to let the video play through if it pauses due to buffering.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Ah, thanks folks, managed to get in touch with my brother who's doing something clever with his studio machine, should do it. Thanks for the help though!

Some legit sites are DRMed to buggery though, I thought.
I'd be fascinated to hear how he did it (if it's even remotely legal, otherwise probably best kept quiet)

I have to admit, he went into a bit of a technical discussion and I instantly stopped listening but I think it's something like fraps, only expensive. It's going to just capture the fullscreen playback rather than extracting the video.

If you play the video through, you might be able to retrieve it from your browsers cache. The same works for images that are protected on some sites, you will have to rename the files accordingly and it can be a bit hit n miss.

^^That doesn't work, in my (rather limited) experience of trying it. the DMR is far clevererererer than that in most cases.
