Ceramic Bearings Patroit swing arm + shock Needle bearings

Was thinking of changing the Swing arm bearings on my Patriot to 6002RS ceramics and fitting a BETD shock needle roller bearing kit instead of DU bearings if there ever in stock again

Would it make a noticable difference?

Or just a waste of money?

It would probably make it a bit plusher on small bumps, and if you need to replace the bearings then I would go for it.

they also do seperate needle bearings for use in suspension pivots. i cant comment on these, but i did fit one of the RWC kits to my old Van R on my coiler.

it definitely made a difference, the shock was smoother and it sagged noticeably more but the biggest difference for me was how it open up the beginning stroke, before fitting, there was very little in the way of small bump response from the back of the bike, with the kit, it made it far easier to break into the travel. and that was only with it fitted at one end. If i'd have kept the shock i'd have fitted another at the other end.

im currently toying with the idea of making my own kit up to fit my manitou shock but dont know if it will work due to the smaller eyelet diameter.

i think the effect varies between different frames/ suspension designs though, one type of frame may see a big difference with the kit fitted, but on a different design it may not make as much of a difference. even it it doesn;t make a huge difference to performance, it should far outlast a standard DU bushing

also, dont be put off ordering from america. the postage was quite reasonable, and it didn't take to long to arrive either.
