Building up a new road bike with chorus 11
Was thinking about some black nokon for gear and cable.
Various posts over the years about quality, and longevity of finish not to mention creaking.
Is this still the case?
Is there something better?

My first set of Nokons have been sweet for 5 years - occassional spray with WD40 will eliminate the creaking. One problems with the Nokons is that the short length of reinforced outer is too big to fit in the newer Ultrashift lever body - I had to use a short length of Campagnolo outer. I've just cabled-up my cross bike with Nokons because the Campagnolo cables couldn't cope with the tight radius runs - they are fit and forget and they are way better than i-links which are prone to splitting.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
