Has anyone else noticed the price hike from Zipvit on their 1.4kg Recovery Rapide ZV3, from £34.99 to £49.99? Real shame as I loved that stuff and £34.99 was pushing it when they raised the price a year or so ago from £29.99, but a £15 rise is a no go.
As such I've been looking around for a replacement and found SIS REGO Recovery, cracking stuff and only around £25 for 1.6kg.
Must admit will still use Zipvit for their energy drink, hoping that doesn’t start going through the roof price wise too.

Yep I noticed the price hike the other week.
Quite ridiculous to go from £35 to £50. It's good stuff but not £50 good stuff.
Did email them about the price hike & funnily enough they didn't email back.
Their 'free' trail box is now £9.99
Will still use their energy drink as I find that very palatable & ok value at £16 but will keep an eye on price.
I understand that ZipVit is doing well in these hard times so I'm thinking they've just decided to join Rip Off Britain.

Maybe Zipvit are preparing for a 50% off sale... however they will need to advertise at the higher price for 28 days before they can.

I liked the stuff, won't be paying £50 for it tho.

Very good value for money. They sell gels, post ride recovery protein shakes and more. I've used them for years.

After one of their previous price hikes I emailed them and received the below response.

"The products are different in formula to our competition

I would suggest that you buy the cheaper products if you are on a budget"

This Zipvit product contains mainly maltodextrine (complex carbohydrate) and whey protein

Also some electrolytes, vitamin a,c,e and d, l- glutamine...see for yourself on the label:

Details of SIS Rego are here

Personally I don't like many SIS products, including Rego, as they contain aspartame

I think you can see that they are pretty similar. As someone mentioned above, you could get a similar product even cheaper from www.myprotein.co.uk, like Recovery XS

I use the Recovery XS myself - it's good quality and well priced. It mixes well in a protein shaker with water as well.
