Double and Bash chainrings

Hi there, just wondering if I'm converting my triple ring set up to a double and bash, I know I need to remove the outer ring and replace the middle ring, but can anyone point me in the right direction as to what rings I can replace it with? Can I use a raceface single ring or do I have to buy a double specific?

Remove outer, replace with bash.

You don't need to replace the middle ring unless you want a differnet size, you still need the ramps on a normal ring to change gear.

Would be helpful to know what cranks you are trying to do this on.

Why do you need to change the middle too?

leave the middle,just loose the outter.just done this my self.
