free spinning jockey wheels?

Hi all,
Having replaced both worn jockey wheels on a shimano xt m772 rear derailleur, with shimano replacements. Without the chain fitted, when both jockey wheels are spun with the finger, it is noticeable that the guide pulley jockey wheel (upper) isn't as free spinning as the tension jockey wheel (lower).
Is this normal for this type of derailleur?
Any replies much appreciated
Thanks

that is normalish. as it has sideways movement it can seem to not spin quite as well."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Yes, that's perfectly normal. It doesn't spin as such, but should turn smoothly.0

Just make sure it does slide side to side, had an irritating chain clicking problem. Took me a while to realise the top wheel was spinning okay but wasnt moving side to side took it off cleaned crud out regreased and problem solved.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0
