I must make a website for my wife business.
Very, very, very simple.
Only advertising her business and put contact details, maybe a contact form. No payment or anything.
We can't afford to pay a professional.

Any advice?

sure theres a million people more qualified to answer than me., but websites typically need web hosting, and many webhosting companies, such as 1and1.co.uk which Ive used, offer free templates you can use - and you also get them to regiester your url domain and provide the email forwarding for you so you can get a "info@yourname.com" email addresse as opposed using a free webmail like "villageidiot@yahoo.com" email which always makes me pretty wary of any business. If you know all this, www.yola.com offers free web templates.
    Fitter....healthier....more productive.....

It's worth being a bit careful, and reading any small print so that you don't get caught out by being tied to your web provider and having to pay a fee to get away from them when you find that their webhosting doesn't provide what you needed. In other words, if your domain name is registered with what turns out to be a dud hoster you could end up spending quite a bit to have your name transferred somewhere else, as happened with me and the money-grubbing madasafish.

I've done a few really simple websites using the freeware program Nvu. It's a simple WYSIWYG program, or if you want to delve into HTML, you can. The resulting files I've uploaded to my free Talktalk webspace using the Firefox exension FireFTP.

Dead simple really. And without paying a penny, I'm easily findable with Google. There's an example of one of these pages here. I know there's nothing flash there (pardon the pun), but it does the job.

If you've got free webspace with your ISP, you can set up a domain name to redirect to your webspace ... or you could decide to buy the domain name and webspace from any number of hosting services.
  • evening,

I was asked to do the same for my wife's business and used mrsite. http://www.mrsite.com/

She is very happy with it, we just have a front page with a picture, a price list and a contact form.
  • What about a free one:
