There's a guy in the classifieds selling a MET Parachute helmet he bought in 2004 which has a dent in it.

So how much do you think he wants for it? £60!

For a 7 year old helmet with a dent in it!

i would give him a tenner to keep wearing it.

  • Hahaha, I'd spotted that too.

Not that it makes much difference, but it's not a little dent either. Looks like it's taken a properly hard knock with something.

    Some people are just clownshoes.
  • Some of the gear that gets sold on here I wouldn't touch with a bargepole because it looks absolutely wrecked. I guess most of it still functions ok but I like my stuff to look pristine as well as work. We all have different standards.

 I'm wondering if anyone will actually be dumb enough to buy it...

    Eh?

How can your parts look pristine as well as work if you actually ride your bike?

Not having a dig, just curious.

Well there's different levels of pristine e.g. when I buy it and then after I've used it a bit! I do try to look after stuff to avoid unnecessary damage but if it happens so be it. I just won't buy stuff that's clearly been abused.

I was thinking the same thing. Pristine is the worst word to use for parts. Good condition would be better. What i think of when the word pristine is used is a bike sitting a showroom having never been ridden, or a ferrari that has been in a garage and has 20km on the clock.
